Garlic Parmesan Orzo with Seared Steak

Steps

    Season steaks with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. Sear in a hot skillet 4 minutes per side. In the last 2 minutes, add butter + crushed garlic and baste. Remove and let rest (keep all juices).

    In the same pan, melt butter and sauté shallot + garlic for about 2 minutes. Add orzo and toast for 1 minute.

    Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring halfway. Add more broth if needed.

    Keep extra broth on hand in case the orzo needs more liquid

    Stir in heavy cream and parmesan until creamy and smooth. Adjust salt and pepper.
