Beef pot roast
A comforting family-favorite Dutch oven roast with vegetables
Steps
- 1Season the beef
Pat dry 4 lbs of beef chuck and season with salt, pepper, & garlic on all sides
Beef chuckKinders salt, pepper & garlic seasoning - 2Heat the oil
Heat oil in a Dutch oven and add the meat
Olive oilBeef chuck - 3Sear the beef
Sear on all sides and remove
Beef chuck - 4Cook the aromatics2 min
Add chopped onion, celery, minced garlic & cook for 2 minutes.

Mix in tomato paste
Tomato paste - 6Coat with flour
Add flour and mix until it's all coated well
All-purpose flour - 7Add liquids
Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth
Worcestershire sauceBeef stock - 8Return the meat
Add your meat back into the pot
Beef chuck - 9Add the vegetables
Add chopped carrots, potatoes and bay leaves making sure it's all submerged in the broth

Add your rosemary
Fresh works too if you prefer it lighter
Rosemary - 11Braise in oven3h 30m
Cover and place in oven at 350 for 3-4 hours
